Going to the Sun is part of my County Collection: Hidden Lake, Glacier National Park.
In September, 2016, for our 25th wedding anniversary, my husband and I took a train trip from Chicago, IL to Whitefish, Montana. We then joined a bus tour through Glacier National Park and the Canadian Rockies. When we arrived at Hidden Lake, the landscape was clear. By the time we all got off the bus, it was completely fogged over. But within a few minutes the fog rolled out and I was able to take some good photographs. Going to the Sun was painted from two photographs, as the fog was rolling out. The color of the lake was simply stunning!

Art is not created with hands, but with the heart. I am an Abstract Expressionist Artist, living in the Midwest. I love to paint with lots of bright colors and use a variety of mediums, such as acrylics, multimedia and digital art on canvas, paper and repurposed furniture. My purpose as an artist is to glorify God with the gifts he has given me. I hope you enjoy my art as much as I have enjoyed creating art. I come from a family of artists.
