After graduating from College, our daughter, Clarissa acquired a volunteer position with the AmeriCorps/Vista program in Bend, Oregon. The first time we went to visit her in Oregon, I was really taken with the scenery: the forests and mountains. One of the places we visited was Crater Lake National Park, which was stunningly beautiful. At the end of our visit, while we were waiting in the airport to fly back to Illinois, I quickly painted this picture on my tablet in my ArtRage Ap, and wrote the following poem about Bend, Oregon.

Bend

Bend your eyes up to the trees and the mountains.
The art of God and the art of man.

Bend your ears to the songbirds, the stories.
The music of creation, the music of man.

Bend your bodies to the trails, cliffs, and slopes.
The beauty of the landscape, the recreation of man.

Art is not created with hands, but with the heart. I am an Abstract Expressionist Artist, living in the Midwest. I love to paint with lots of bright colors and use a variety of mediums, such as acrylics, multimedia and digital art on canvas, paper and repurposed furniture.
